It's been a rainy 10 days here in our neck of South Dakota. Not as rainy as some places -- like Gregg's homeland of Wisconsin -- but our lawn actually looks like we've been watering it all summer, and Gregg's been mowing every couple of days. We also have some grape hyacinth that are trying to make another go of it. They're putting up green shoots, so we'll have to see if they actually bloom again yet this fall.
Henry has his own umbrella, and is adamant about taking it with him when it 's raining or when it looks like it's going to rain. These pictures were taken as we were loading up the stroller and heading off to the Riverboat Days Parade.

We're headed to visit the Homstad clan over Labor Day weekend, and will celebrate Henry's SECOND birthday there. We hope to have lots of pictures to share when we get back from our trip. Also, a couple of items that are in the news right now are events that we associate with Henry's birth day: Hurricane Katrina and the U.S. Open Tennis Tournament.
